Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to organise and oversee the daily operations of our company. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people.

The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover and deliver the most efficient ways to run the business.

The goal is to improve the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate growth and long-term success.

Duties:

  • - Directing all operational activities across the organisation. Identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and systems. Translating the company’s strategic plans into defined operational plans
  • - Make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals. Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Revise and/or formulate policies/systems and promote their implementation
  • - Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements. Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress. Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics
  • - Assists upper management in setting goals that promote company growth. Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees
  • - All aspects of Day to day management of the operations team. Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines. Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback. Establishing a culture of continuous business improvement. Evaluate customer service activities and implementing minimum standards across all contact with customers
  • - Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed. Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • - Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner. Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
  • - Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace
  • - Manages stock and inventory. Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation. Implementing lean management procedures to minimise stock holding and free up working capital
  • - Oversees manufacturing and quality/regulatory functions. Manages internal and external service suppliers and sub-contract manufacturers. Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
  • - Working alongside other members of the business on business projects. Works closely with other departments (sales, marketing and finance) to promote efficient business optimisation
  • - Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
  • - Define, manage and report performance management KPI’s to monitor operational success against objectives
  • - Restructuring business activities to increase speed and efficiency
  • - Researching opportunities for cost savings across the business
  • - Minimising operation expenditure within the business wherever possible
  • Background

  • - Excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to communicate complex business ideas
  • - Previous experience working for a company within the medical device industry or from a similar business
  • - Highly motivated with a passion for driving operational business change
  • - Degree in Operations Management or Business Field Preferred
  • - Prior Experience as Operations Director or Manager Required

  • - BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
