Global Product Manager

Paris

We are searching for a Junior Global PM to join their Global Marketing team. The person will report to the Global Marketing Manager.

The role is based in Europe, and the successful candidate can be based in UK, Italy, Germany or France.

It is be expected, at the discretion of the Marketing Manager, that an average of one week per month will be spent in the Headquarters in mainland Europe, and he/she will travel extensively.

The person will have the option to work home office when he/she is not travelling.

Position Summary:

  • The Junior Global Product Manager will support the team for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. He / She will be involved in the identification and presentation of new business opportunities in the respective Product Line. He / She will dedicate a large proportion of their time to introducing and supporting training & education of the product line in the market, both to HCPs and sales channels.

    The person will have contact with surgeons, distributors all over the world, customers, and our sales team. He /she will work in close collaboration with all internal departments, especially with Sales, R&D, Clinical Affairs and Medical Science.

A flexibility to travel up to 70% of the time, mainly in Europe, is required.

Responsibilities: Market Analysis

  • - Develops and maintains updated market data.
  •  
  • - Researches, analyzes and remains informed about competitive products.
  •  
  • - Supports the development of price strategy and competitive pricing/market share analysis.

Product Support

  • - Give support in the definition of the product strategy and roadmap according to Corporate Strategy.
  •  
  • - Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
  •  
  • - Creates and executes launch plans, contributes to new product designs.
  •  
  • - Give support in the development and execution of sales tools and collaterals.
  •  
  • - Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services and select products and accessories to be displayed at trade or special shows.

  • - Formulate, direct and give support to marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers and local product managers.
  •  
  • - Supports marketing planning, which includes an analysis of competitive products and selling techniques, consumer research, in-country reimbursement, sales budgets and strategic plans.

  • - Utilise customer segmentation and product positioning models to formulate and execute marketing techniques and channel management.
  • Product Development

  • - Consult with R&D on competitive analysis and on product specifications and configurations.
  •  
  • - Formulate new product proposals, identify and address competitive activity.
  •  
  • - Identifies, defines and presents new and existing product development opportunities and strategies to management.
  •  
  • - Actively participates in development of products to meet anticipated market needs and specifications; Refines current product; works with R&D, Engineering, surgeons, and others.

  • - Ensures deliverables are performed within Quality System and Business Conduct.
  • Sales Support

  • - Prepares, provides product and service support materials to field personnel.
  •  
  • - Support in the identification of new business opportunities in the respective Product Line as well as supports training & education of our products in the market.

  • - Participates in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services and select products and accessories to be displayed at trade or special shows.

  • - Coordinates training and education activities for customers and sale forces.
  •  
  • - Coordinate sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing general and local business market factors and trends.

  • - Perform product demos to customers.
  • Education and business skills

  • - Masters Degree in Engineering (better if Biomedical) or Economics/Marketing.
  •  
  • - Must have 3-4 years of industry experience in Marketing or product specialist roles and/or
  • technical background in Orthopaedics or Medical Devices would be a plus.
  •  
  • - Also candidates coming from Pharma industries will be evaluated OR support experience preferred but not mandatory.
  •  
  • - Fluency in English; any other European languages beneficial.

Computer skills

  • - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, database, internet and CRM tools.
