Business Development Executive

Newbury

Our client is an orthopaedic medical device company based in Newbury. They are looking for a Business Development Executive, to take responsibility for a variety of business development support tasks that are critical to meeting the commercial outcome of the business. This role reports to the Head of Marketing with a dotted line of responsibility to the National Sales and Marketing Manager.

You must be sales-orientated with experience in telesales and interest/experience in the medical device sector.

Key Responsibilities

    • - 80% new business development. 20% account management.
    •  
    • The key focus of the role will be to build the network of key account customers and secure o-orders from both current and new customers, largely via phone and digital communication. Perform office-based sales activities to contribute to the company‚Äôs sales success of existing products and new products including:
    •  
    • - Proactively engaging with new prospective customers and key decision makers.
    •  
    • - Identifying and acting upon new business opportunities.
    •  
    • - Working within a team to identify, target and secure business from existing and new customers.
    •  
    • - Contact existing clients with a view to converting quotations.
    •  
    • - Re-engaging with lapsed customers. Be a key contact for repeat customers and ensure repeat business is maintained and grown.
    •  
    • - Build and research client lists - identifying the right people to contact.
    •  
    • - Research client needs and understands the benefits specific to them, delivering high levels of customer service.
    •  
    • - Confidently negotiate pricing structure and benefits.
    •  
    • - Compile and deliver sales reports to management and meet all sales targets, achieving quarterly and annual KPIs.
    •  
    • - Identify opportunities for the Regional Sales team and feed in information on potential new customers or opportunities.
    •  
    • - Maintaining quality relationships with your manager and external customer-facing Account - - Executives to support new business growth. 
    •  
    • - Contribute to new product identification strategies.
    •  
    • - Create, schedule and send sales emails to customers/potential customers.
    •  
    • - Supporting event and exhibition planning and organisation if and when needed Utilising the - CRM database to ensure clean data is retrievable and accurate records are maintained.

  • Experience and Qualifications:
  •  
  • - Office-based, B2B or B2C sales experience essential.
  •  
  • - Proven sales track record essential.
  •  
  • - Passion for sales and target driven.
  •  
  • - Telesales experience required.
  •  
  • - Communication skills and networking ability.
  •  
  • - Adaptability.
  •  
  • - Good organisation and planning skills.
  •  
  • - Client facing experience.
  •  
  • - Great under pressure.
  •  
  • - Ability to hit targets and pushes for more.
  •  
  • - Highly driven with extensive attention to detail.
